FireWatch Map Service

The FireWatch map service provides emergency services personnel with an online mapping application to help in the management of bush fires over Australia. Datasets include fire hotspots from MODIS and NOAA imagery, Landsat and MODIS satellite imagery, burnt area maps since 1997, greenness images updated daily and weekly, lightning data, and other useful map layers.

Please note: To enhance community access to FireWatch, the previous zoom level restrictions have now been removed from this service.

Firewatch Map Service - Subscriber Access
This service is only available to subscribers. This services allows access to file downloads. To gain access to the enhanced subscriber map service please contact Ron.Craig@landgate.wa.gov.au Tel. 08 9387 0330.

FireWatch-Beta Website
You can now access the FireWatch-Beta website, which we are developing to replace the current FireWatch Map Service. Please note that it is still under development. We welcome all feedback on FireWatch-Beta - once logged in, you can access a feedback tool to contact us. You are welcome to access FireWatch-Beta using the Guest account, or to sign yourself up for a free account. If you have any questions about FireWatch-Beta, please contact us at srss-online@landgate.wa.gov.au

Note: Accounts used to access FireWatch-Beta are completely separate from existing FireWatch accounts.
